Comment: I had one of these Braun kettles in Australia - I liked it so much that I bought the same kettle when I came over to the States. All my American friends quiz me on this strange appliance in the kitchen; "What is that?" "Why it's a kettle of course." "What's it for?" "To boil water. Every house has one in Australia and the UK." "Why don't you just use the stove?" "Cos it takes forever!!" I've used many kettles back home; this one is definitely the best I've ever owned. Very fast boilup. Automatic off function so you can't boil it dry. Light weight and cordless. Look no further - 5 Stars. It also has a convenient auto-off feature that makes me feel confident that my office mates won't accidentally burn down our office if they forget they turned on the kettle. It also has a clever design that hides any extra cord underneath the base. Tea at the office has never been so easy!
